White Noise
This work explores the emotional landscape of modern queer dating, focusing on the tension between physical closeness and emotional distance. In a world where connection can be instantaneous yet fleeting, moments of intimacy often exist alongside feelings of uncertainty, vulnerability, and longing. The images and narratives within this project reflect those quiet spaces between people - where desire, tenderness, hesitation, and distance coexist.
For me, art is one of the most beautiful forms of communication that humans possess. It allows us to express emotions that are often difficult to articulate in words, creating a shared language of feeling and experience. Through this project, I hope viewers can see fragments of their own stories within the work, and resonate with the complexities of connection that shape our lives.
In an ever-changing world, intimacy can feel increasingly sparse in some people’s lives. The pace of modern life, digital communication, and shifting social landscapes can make genuine closeness seem fragile or temporary. Yet intimacy, whether found in friendship, romance, or brief moments of understanding between people, remains one of the fundamental reasons for being human. It is through these connections that we experience care, recognition, and belonging.
This project is ultimately an exploration of that search: the human desire to be seen, to be held emotionally as well as physically, and to find meaning through connection with others alongside the struggles that may come with that.
